Waimangu Volcanic Valley

A geothermal valley created by the 1886 Tarawera eruption, with a gently downhill walk past the huge Frying Pan Flat and Inferno Crater Lake to Lake Rotomahana. A shuttle returns walkers to the start. Allow three to four hours and bring water.
