Nature

A glacier-carved valley in the Ruby Mountains with steep walls, meadows and aspen, reached by a scenic road ending at a trailhead. Visit in late spring to autumn and allow time for a walk at the end of the road.

Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains in Elko County is about 12 miles (19 km) long and was heavily shaped by glaciers in earlier ice ages.
